Hi, my name’s Madi and I’ve been working at aquatic achievers for almost a year now. I’m studying law, political science and French at UQ and I don’t remember what sleep is anymore. I’m not typically an adventurous person but I do like the idea of being an adventurous person. And earlier this year that idea was brought to life when I randomly booked a trip to Mount Everest. Go hard or go home, right?
I decided that doing this trek seemed like good idea at some point during my midlife crisis at the start of the year. Technically I’m 18, but I’m a big believer in never being too young to have a midlife crisis. I was unsure of the direction I was headed in or if uni was even the right pathway for me so rather than sitting down and thinking things through I opted to avoid all responsibilities and climb a mountain instead. It was slightly random but that’s what made it so exciting! It was without a doubt the most challenging but satisfying thing I’ve done and led me to meeting some awesome people. I’m already on the lookout for my next adventure and can confirm the truth in the saying life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
