How long have you been with aquatic achievers?
I have been with aquatic achievers for 7 years. 5 years with the Sunnybank Hills crew and the last 2 years working with the Gumdale and Paddington teams.
What’s your story?
I grew up in the small country town of Moura. After my childhood in Moura I spent time travelling and working in the hospitality industry. Eventually ended up in London for many years and working as a personal trainer. With the start of a young family the Aussie summers were calling for my return and Brisbane was the chosen city. We love the city vibe, at the same time easy access to gorgeous beaches North and South of us where you will find me often in the Summer. So if I’m not helping out with my daughter’s nippers team, I’ll be out on the water supping or on the surf board desperately trying to catch a wave (with the emphasis on trying). And if we’re not on or by the water, the family is often on a tennis court hitting some balls or I’m out doing some road running.
What’s a typical day look like?
What made you join?
I joined the aquatic achievers team after watching my eldest daughter enjoying the baby classes in a fun loving environment. From the side lines it looked like a very rewarding job. At the time I was worried whether I would pass the singing test for the baby classes, but apparently I did ok! 🙂
