Pej grew up in Kurdistan, in the north of Iran. He became a civil engineer in his hometown of Sanandaj but always had a dream of becoming a primary school teacher. Five years ago he decided to follow his dream of working with kids and moved to Brisbane to pursue it. Arriving in Australia with nothing but determination, Pej began working with Aquatic Achievers and discovered his passion for teaching kids how to swim, an important life skill. Pej also loves video and media production as a hobby. He’s always been known as the “happy guy” and today he has recently moved from managing the Gumdale centre, to producing media for aquatic achievers.
