The primary aim of this level to comfortably paddle 2 metres in a horizontal body position. Paddling improves the core strength and motor skills required to generate propulsion in the water, which will eventually make your child safer in this environment. In this level we also aim to develop the required strength and coordination to do independent ‘monkey monkeys’ for 2 to 3 metres, as well as helping your child feel comfortable in a 1-hand-assisted back-float. The main challenge of the Splashers level is to maintain a horizontal body position while swimming.
